(( *whimpers for Lupin* I always like... loved Lupin! And Tonks! *cries*)) "Dunno. Probably running through the barrier now, if I know either of them," Lupin laughed. "They're always late."

"It's a bloody miracle they'e managed to get their arses on this train on time every year," she said. "It'd make my year if they didn't get on. Well, Sirius at least. James I actually like."
This was her, in denial. She always acted like she hated Sirius, but it was different, down deep. However, she had to admit, it would be rather amusing if the two missed the train--that she wasn't lying about.

"Shame you find Sirius not making the train amusing... I think he rather fancies you," Remus teased, knowing Marly had a crush on Sirius, one that Sirius might reciprocate.

"Really?" she asked, then shook her head. "No, wait, I don't care. And Sirius fancies anything with breasts, Remus. C'mon, now."

"I still say he'll have to settle down one day," Remus shrugged. "You never know, Marly. He could fall for you."

"I don't care," she shrugged. "I don't want him to. It's not like I fancy him, anyway. Besides, I find it quite impossible to think that Sirius Black would ever settle for one girl for more than two weeks. Ever."
Denial. What a beautifull thing that Marlene Mckinnon would surely stay in for a long time. Even if she came out of it, though she more than likely wouldn't--before she lost interest, anyway--she didn't stand a chance with Hogwarts biggest player. Not that she cared, though.

"I do agree with you there, but you could be the one to change that," Remus laughed with a wink. "Someone will have to get to him eventually. Truthfully? He acts a lot tougher than he really is. He can be really nice when you get down to it."

She gave him an inquisitive look, raising an eyebrow. "...Did he ask you to talk him up to me or something? It's like you're dead set on setting us up. I'd swear he put you up to this."
She already knew that Sirius could be, deep down, nice. He never let it show, ever, but she remembered when her dad died, before she left for the funeral and even once after she came back, Sirius had been...well, serious, no pun intended. He was mature when times called for it, and he was a good friend at those times. But she had told him she wouldn't tell anyone that he could be a soft guy. She laughed and told him his secret was safe with her.

((Going to see HP5 for the THIRD time... saw it once regular, once in IMAX 3D, and now once in non-3D IMAX... my family needs a life.))
"Can't I have my own motives for once?" Remus laughed. "Honestly. I'm not that much of a pushover. If Sirius wanted to be with you I'd say he could get his own arse out there and do it himself."

She put her hands up in defense, raising her eyebrows and laughing. "Ok, ok, I get it. Merlin, you're pushy. You should try your persistency on someone more worthwhile like, oh, I don't know. How about that stubborn girl, Lily Evans? Ever heard of her?" she asked, smirking a bit.
She was still a bit mad at Lily about last night--she had ditched her for Snivellus. But, she knew that it was Lily's nature to nuture, and she didn't want to start off the year in a fight. However, it didn't mean she would be Ms.Happy-Happy-Joy-Joy when Lily arrived. Marly could hold grudges, just not against Lily.

"Lily Evans?" Siruis popped into the cubicle, a smirk on his face. "You mean that redheaded bird that's always attached to Snivellus? What about her?"

"Speak of the devil himself," Marlene commented, rolling her eyes. "You know, Black, normal people give a nice hello before jumping into a conversation.
"And if you must know, I was just suggesting to Remus here that he should try his knack of persistency on someone like Lily, who should give James a shot, instead of pushing other people together," she said, crossing her arms. "Speaking of, where is Potter? You two are usually joined at the hip."

"Haven't seen him," Sirius plopped down onto the seat next to Remus, giving him a playful punch in the arm. "He must me running later than I am. Didn't know that was possible. And what could Lily possibly see in Moony here anyway?"

"You're so simple," she said. "I'm talking about Remus should push Lily to go out with James, not himself. And I'm sure i-if she wanted to, she'd see plenty in Remus!" she said, trying to jump to his defense. She didn't see anything, romantically, in him, and it was hard to defend such a comment when she didn't.
"God, Black, you're immature," she said, thinking of the first and only insult that came to her mind quick enough--even if it didn't exactly make sense--, being the way she was to him always.

"I'm not immature," Sirius frowned. "I just haven't grown into my mentality yet. What's this rubbish you're reading, Moony?"
